The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) is a permanent committee of the Board of Directors of the Echo Mill Neighborhood Association, Inc. ARC is dedicated to promoting an aesthetically appealing community through the conscientious development, re-evaluation and enforcement of the neighborhood’s architectural standards. ARC monitors compliance with the Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CCRs) and the Architectural Design and Maintenance Standards of Echo Mill, and evaluates homeowner requests for exterior modifications to their property.
Architectural Design and Maintenance Standards
The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) Design Standards provide Echo Mill homeowners and residents:
- Exterior maintenance standards applicable to
all homes and related property.
- Guidance as to what modifications, changes, upgrades, improvements, additions, deletions and the like, are acceptable to the exterior of homes and related property.
- Process to follow to obtain approval for exterior modifications.
All modifications to the exterior of an Echo Mill home must be requested and approved by the ARC before the change is made. The ARC Modification Request Form (which includes how to properly submit your request) should be downloaded, completed, and submitted along with the supporting documentation.
It is important for homeowners to check with Cobb County for any set back requirements, possible undisturbed buffer zones, or other Cobb County codes or requirements prior to starting any approved exterior modification.
